So, who's going on Friday? Any plans for people to meet up for a drink beforehand for a drink? And if so, where?!!! wink

Rob -Do you know what time this event finishes? The last coach for me is 22:30, and I'm sure others will be wondering about their transport home too.

I understand that John's due 'on-stage' at 21:00 - and that the 'show' is set to finish an hour later at 10:00. However, there's likely to be a Q & A session after that for about 20 minutes / half-an-hour.

Cheers Rob, looks like I'd have to miss the Q&A bit afterwards though. Too close to call with my last coach. Mind you, I'm still waiting for my ticket to come in any way.

I'm planning on getting to the venue to get me tickets about 8.30.

I'm really looking forward to this event for a number of reasons, if not just for seeing everyone from here again and my only Foxx "gig" this year, plus I guess it's John's last appearance of a very busy year.

I'm sure it will be a very special event, having been in the works for god knows how long. It will be really interesting to hear what John has to say about it.

I don't have a ticket either - I was told to collect it from the venue before the show.

How about:

here

Baroque perhaps? Nicely near and if I may quote some wonderful Damien Stringer:

"A cracking little pub if you like a good pint of ale. Selling mainly Okell's on hand pull but with a rotation from other breweries. Nice selection of premium lagers from all over europe. TVs with any relevant sporting events on, a good pub all round really. If you like a gamble though you are out of luck here as there are no fruities or quiz machines."

I won't be in Leeds until 6 so realistically I won't be there until 7 at the earliest, probably 7.30pm, maybe 8. If anyone cares to join me, please do so. I take full responsibility if Friday night finds it horrendously busy or just plain horrendous.

Great, I love seeing the venue smile

Just in case everyone runs out of Quiet Man questions to ask John and it opens out into a wider Q&A about his work can someone ask how the situation with any kind of DVD release for TCM is going, if its at all ever likely?

Also, any chance of asking this: Robin Guthrie first brought his Lumiere show (also with Q&A) to the Edinburgh Fringe a few years ago, any chance John might do the same in future with TQM/TCM, or CO?

Cheers all smile

Just been to check out the venue.Very nice old building

The Baroque is no longer called the Baroque though.

Its now called Mr Foleys Cask Ale House laugh

I just popped in for a quick half.

They serve food til 7pm.

Here are a few photos I've taken of Leeds Town Hall & the Drinking venue.
