at the relatively youing age of 67 I think the band has been mentioned just once on here in the crossword thread but a great band musically tight , lyrically sharp and cutting Think I'll dedicate an hour listening to their "Best Of"today Thanks for the memories Walter

Very noble of you to mention his passing, Ivan. Only a passive listener myself in the late, late 70's (the track FM in particular got some heavy Radio 1 play summer of '78).

I only really became aware of Becker through his work as producer on the very wonderful China Crisis album Flaunt the Imperfection which basically saved the lads' careers, and creating what is probably one of the best albums of the decade.

I've since dipped into SD's back catalogue enjoying moments such as Deacon Blues, Do It Again, Haitian Divorce and other choice cuts.
