( .. not just David Bowie...)

new OMD album "English Electric" due out in April, with new single Metroland in March.
Seems to have quite a bit of Dazzle Ships-ness about it.

details: Electricity Club

Well, I'm disappointed already, last night listened to three tracks from new album 'A Long Way To Fall' by Ulrich Schnauss, released next Monday, and was hoping that after his collaboration with Mark Peters last year which disappointed me then maybe this solo album would be a return to Ulrich's past best, but sadly not for me, its frustrating when you highly regard three previous albums from an artist and then it all ends, but it was 2001 to 2007 and time has since passed...

Let's not forget also Depeche Mode return in March with a new "soulful" album.

Right! Everything else seems to be have been forgotten in the shadow of Bowie-ness ..

Also Karl Bartos (cover possibly a homage to Gerry Anderson?)

Also Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds due very soon (quietest album since "A Boatman's Call" I read somewhere), and just possibly Roger Waters, which would be his first "rock" album in 21 years.

Cripes, that sounds diabolically rubbish!! You would have thought he'd have learnt from that abysmal first album...

Just read my unread-email seems Amazon have contacted me (no wonder they get you £hooked£ to their store) to say new album by my fav' female acoustic-electro artist Grouper (Liz Harris) is now available, its unreleased material circa 2008 but I'm certainly keen.

Been listening this week to the title track from Steven Wilson's new one 'The Raven That Refused To Sing'. I'll certainly get the album but annoyed with myself for slowness as his Glasgow gig this Saturday is now sold-out.

Really don't like the video (so many video's needlessly re-program your own interpretation and undermine the music, this outrage should be made a criminal offence by law, so there! smile )

I went to the album launch thingy at Rough Trade East - walked out after 20 minutes. Awful, awful, awful - what was he thinking?

I think Steven Wilsons new album is his best yet. Looking forward to seeing him live on Saturday in Glasgow. I won't make the signing session though as I'm working.
