Grrrrrrr...
Don't get me started. I wish 'we' had never applied to host the Games and I can't wait till the bloody thing is over
I couldn't agree more Martin. Working in an indirectly related service industry, I have to work 12 hour shifts to support it (and no extra money before anyone asks).
It's not so much the games themselves, but the year long hype that surrounds it, and the 100% belief from the media that we are all going to have so much fun.
I can't wait for the period after the games when we will be treated to endless reality show / documentaries, when we'll hear about Ray the hot dog seller and the challenges of getting his cart into the velodrome, and Sophie the VIP Meet & Greet Customer Relations Executive, who outlines the panic that surrounded the loss of Usain Bolts' lucky shoelaces!
