Yes you really must. It's amazingly already 7 years old but doesn't seem to age (which might be saying something about the state of pop music).

Another article...
http://www.citylife.co.uk/music/news/11684_human_league_show_their_steel

..in which we learn Oakey now has a dog..

His irony still shines through:
“The cottage industry was always quite important to the Human League..."
“But I’m well known for claiming things. I also think I invented the steam engine and things like that.”

More here.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20081201_humanleague.shtml

interestingly:

New Human League material

According to Susanne, a new album could be on the way.

She said: “Philip’s been writing in the studio with our drummer Rob so there’s tentatively a bit of stuff. I don’t know when or what will happen with it but there’s a good few tracks out there that I’ve got a CD of at home. It sounds good.”

But Joanne fears they will have to adapt to new methods when it comes to putting out their music: “I think we’re all keen to put out new music. Our only problem is that the way we have traditionally put out music is not available to us anymore so we don’t really actually know how we would get it out there.

According to Wikipedia;

Marsh left himself out of the 'Sheffield Steel Tour' in 2008, leaving the other two members of Heaven 17 to perform alone, the first time they will have done so.

Ian is at present attending University studying Psychology.

Rumour has it the Human League signed a new record deal with Wall of Sound (90s Big Beat label) in the last few days and also performed a secret Recording Industry gig at Battersea Power Station to showcase forthcoming material.

If it's all true, and I hope it is - perhaps we've seen the back of the 80s-Cabaret League of the last few years and hopefully we'll get a brand new, forward looking HL...

...hopefully
