Another?! There have only been two!

I don't see the point in the remix CD to be honest, but it's a nice idea to package parts 1-6 and 7-13.

Personally I'm interested in the new 'live' (ie miming) DVD version, as that's something I don't already have.

It is its Birthday, after all!

Well fair enough . .seems to have become trendy to celebrate one's 30th .. plus our Jean Michel is always one step ahead with the technology n'est-ce pas, so we'll let him play with his toys bless him.

Pleeeease ... no I was thinking: Sex Pistols, Human League, Jean Michel .. whoever next...? Sheila B Devotion? Clock DVA? (I'm guessing here..I think in 1977 I was too busy celebrating the Silver Jubilee..)

Lol!!

Actually it does seem to have become a bit of a trend or specific anniversary album reissues. Really famous albums such as some of Bowie's or Jarres, when they've already been skillfully remastered a couple of times already, the anniversary edition is just a cash in... usually because their alst album didn't sell very well!!

At least with Metamatic, a definitive edition was long overdue cool

I bought Oxygene on CD in 1998 for the first time, and typically later that same year they remastered it. Annoying. So I think I might finally allow myself to get a remastered version, since the sound level on the original pressing is quite low.

Thanks for the info Alex. The CD box set looks interesting. It would be nice to have the complete Oxygene set. I still have the original CD's and by todays standards the sound is a bit quiet.
I hope it isn't too expensive.

Peter
