Some of you might remember Bowie's early/mid 70's effort named above ,on which he did covers of his favourite songs If John was born in 47 as the German site suggests and he were to carry out a similar project , what do you reckon he'd put on it (you can go up to 1974 to put it in the same timeframe )I reckon we'll get some interestings choices here
I'll start with either
"Do the Strand" or "Mother of Pearl" by Roxy Music (from the two Brians era)

Well that disqualifies my pick of any track from Brian Eno's Another Green World which was recorded in 1975. frown

Well mine would be a Bowie song itself, i think John could do a great version of
'Space Oddity'. Maybe even an accoustic version with an IMW feel to it.

I'm suprised no one's mentioned The Beatles or Floyd yet! I'd go for the experimental pop of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' and 'Strawberry Fields Forever', 'See Emily Play', 'Comfortably Numb', and a Lennon solo track; 'Woman'

Perhaps Warren Cann could copy the drum pattern again! ('When You Walk Through Me')
