Hello there Gary . While the majority of our brethren have been having a great time watching John in Glasgow I''ve been tearing bits 0f my fingers off watching text messages on WSAG 3 2 to us but we stank the gaffe out The plucky Ukranian part timers wuz robbed (They were 2-1 up with 20 minutes to go) One of our lot compared us to you under Ozzy Ardiles (Before he joined Black Sabbath ) Anyway this forum should have at least 2 members at the UEFA Cup Final in May
(OK I've been taking lots of delusion inducing drugs tonight smile smile ) Good job I had TPOE to get me throught the first 70 minutes Things came right around the "Automobile" stage .

We had to bring on Keano to draw 1-1! Time and again we give Defoe the start he needs and time and again he squanders it, and then he wonders why he's left on the subs bench.

Robbo should be on the bench - Cerny should of been in goal...but then 'shoul've, could've' seems to be our motto recently.

Having already beaten this pub team 6-1, we were never in danger of losing, but we were in danger of embarrasing ourselves. In Public. Again.

I doubt very much on yesterdays performance that we'll be anywhere remotely near the final!

We got Liverpool on Sunday; here's a facinating fact - when Crooks scored the winner at Anfield in 85, it was our first away win against Liverpool since the sinking of the Titanic 73 years earlier! Probably be another 73 years before we score there again at this rate!

Who are we supposed to hate on Metamatic ? smile We could even start a "Me arl fella shouts" example
"Me arl fella saw Midge Ure in ST Helen's High Street and said "You're well Scooby you Midge , you're not fit to lace John's boots"
Do you think it would catch on ?

I think the highlight of my Everton fraught supportership so far was the night we stuffed Bayern in the 1985 Cup Winners semi final. The Street End was absolutely rocking.

We were on a roll then until them next door blah blah blah...........

laugh Heh! Yeah - when did they last win something? I can't remember, but that may have something to do with not being old enough to receive a telegram from the Queen wink

I love the fact that Howard just gave it all up and got a proper job (Photo Library Archivist...I think) - there's a quiet grace about that. Something The Banshees should of done *shuddering at memories of The Seven Year Itch Tour*

"Let's hope the Waffa Pots keep us apart" - As we keep losing to you, I agree! laugh

I think it's at home. Anderlecht are a good little team - should be an exciting game.

'Bolton were drawn in the same Uefa Cup group as German giants Bayern Munich, but Everton and Tottenham will fancy their chances of making progress';

Hi Ivan,

Sorry – I’ve only just noticed this!

No Waffa action for me- saving up for a Microkorg! Which, considering my Lilywhite’s progress – is probably a good idea!
