Question for Bowie fans:

I went to the record shop and under new releases there was David Bowie: Buddha of Suburbia cd/dvd.

What is this

It was a soundtrack he made for the 4 part bbc programme of the same name. Released in about '93. It was released shortly before the epic '1.Outside' album.

And very good it is too. Bowie returns from the 1980s and Tin Machine and rejuvenates himself.

I'm only familiar with the novel...

Yeah me too. No idea why I didn't watch the series when it was on as it got good reviews at the time.

Yeah, the re-release of "Buddha" is long overdue - with proper packaging this time too!

Excellent album. One of my favourites.

I just read that at the end of October a "David Bowie box" is to be released. I tried looking on his site but I find it next to impossible to get any info there. Anyone know what this is about?

It's a cool box set containing Outside, Earthling, Hours..., Heathen and Reality.

Some of his best work in there IMO.
